How do you manage PCs and laptops remotely?

New remote management tools mean that remote or roaming users can easily be assisted by our Netforce Support Centre, no matter where they are. NMT becomes active any time an outbound connection is activated, and ensures the device is up to date with all the latest patches. If there are any issues on the device, our experienced engineers are alerted immediately. We can proactively take remedial action for known problems such as the failure of a printer service.

The managed security client on NMT ensures antivirus, anti-spyware and rootkit protection is up to date and enforced. Our client takes almost no resources on the PC and has no annual expiry date. It has the potential to reduce your total cost of ownership (with monthly subscription pricing and lower cost of management).

What would you do if someone stole a staff laptop?
Netforce engineers took quick action for a customer when a laptop that had been stolen reported back into their management console. They were able to tell the customer straightaway that the laptop was in Vietnam. Since they still had control over the machine, they were able to set up a script that would wipe all data on the laptop.

If the laptop was still in Australia, we could have taken stronger measures, like tracking the user down through the ISP and getting the police involved. As it was, the customer was just happy that confidential information was not compromised.
